This Free Claude Skill Turns Images into 3D Models
You will point Claude Code at the free img2threejs skill, send it a photo of an object, and get back an editable Three.js 3D model built entirely in code that you can keep changing with plain requests.
O que você precisa
Claude Code (the skill runs there, a Claude subscription is enough)
One or more photos of a single object, ideally from several viewpoints
The img2threejs repo link (public, no GitHub account needed)
10 to 20 minutes or more per model
Passo a passo
Open the repo and the showcase
Open the img2threejs repo on GitHub. It holds a single skill that lets AI rebuild an object from your pictures as a 3D model. Browse the showcase gallery to see what it can build. Results are close to the photo, not 100% photorealistic.

Get your object image ready
Pick a picture of a single object (I use a bicycle photo). Right-click it and choose Copy image so you can paste it into Claude Code. If you have several views of the same object, gather them all: more images give a more precise model.
Ask Claude Code what is in the repo
Open Claude Code, paste the repo link, and ask what is inside. The repo is public, so you do not need a GitHub account. Wait a few seconds while Claude reads it and explains the skill and demo gallery.
PromptHey, Claude, what's inside of this GitHub repo? https://github.com/img2threejs/img2threejs
Send the image and launch the skill
Paste your image into Claude Code and ask it to use the skill, plus anything else in the repo, to rebuild the image as a 3D asset.
PromptPlease use this skill and also anything that you can find inside of that repo to recreate this image into a 3D asset.
Let it run
Leave Claude working. Count on 10 to 20 minutes per asset. The bicycle took close to 50 minutes on Opus 5 with high settings because it is a complex model. Simple geometric objects like boxes, chests or barrels finish much faster.
Check progress as parts appear
Look in while it works. Claude breaks the image into separate elements and builds the object one piece at a time using only basic geometry (tubes, circles, ellipses). It then runs detail passes on each section, like the handlebars and the wheel lines, to fix imperfections.
Compare the model with your reference
When it finishes, open the result. Review the side-by-side view of the reference image and the 3D model, then scroll down to the overlay of the two, which is what Claude used to check its build.
Edit the model by asking Claude
The model is 100% code, so you can change it on the spot by asking Claude: change colors, change the material, or change the diameter of any part. For a better next version, give 5, 10 or 15 images from different viewpoints.
Fique atento a
It is slow by nature: plan 10 to 20 minutes per asset, and much longer for complex objects (the bicycle took close to 50 minutes on Opus 5 high).
One image works, but precision is limited. The skill accepts up to twelve images, and quality climbs with more viewpoints.
Do not expect a 100% photorealistic copy of the photo: expect a close, reusable 3D asset.
You need Claude Code for this, not a regular chat window.
