Turn Any Expert into Your AI Mentor (2026)

Today I show you how to use AI to turn any expert into your own AI mentor, one of the most underrated use cases in AI right now, and how to do it in less than ten minutes. The workflow is simple: give Claude the expert's source material, have it extract the framework, then turn that framework into a reusable skill you can apply to your own business decisions whenever you need it. We build two skills live, both from Alex Hormozi's material.

What you need

• Claude, though this also works with ChatGPT, Codex or any AI you are using
• Source material from your expert: a book, PDF, blog article, or a YouTube video transcript
• Optionally, an Apify connection for automatic YouTube transcript extraction

1. Start with written content (0:29)

We cover two types of content: written first, then video and audio. I preloaded Claude with the 100 Million Offers book from Alex Hormozi, and we have Claude ingest it:

Hey Claude, can you please read this book and then tell me where in this book is mentioned the value equation by Hormozi?

You can use any book or PDF, and this also works for blog articles or any other written content. The longer it is, the more material you have, and normally the higher quality the skill you get. And it works for any expert: marketing, sales, legal, whatever field, as long as they produced content.

2. Turn the framework into a reusable skill (1:47)

Claude gives me the breakdown of the value equation. Now I want a skill that lets me benchmark the offers I create for my own business against it:

Hey Claude, right now I want to take the value equation and I want you to create a skill that will allow me to benchmark the offers that I am creating against this value equation and you will have to give me insights on how I can make this offer better.

A skill is a reusable workflow. Next time you need it, you just tell Claude to use your Alex Hormozi offer generator skill, and it runs. By default Claude comes with the capacity to create skills built in; it actually has a skill called the skill creator skill, which is kind of funny. Skill creation took about four to five minutes here, and the more complex the framework you are copying, the longer it takes.

3. Test the first skill on a weak offer (2:50)

Claude finished the skill and even ran a test offer through it: an AI upskilling workshop. The output is a full table explaining why the offer is weak. The desired outcome, be more productive with AI, is generic. Perceived likelihood: zero proof, no track record. Effort and sacrifice: pure DIY after the session. Score: 2.9 out of 10.

I save it with the Save Skill button and immediately run it on another offer:

Hey, I run a recruitment agency based in the US. I would like to know what you think about two hours of free sourcing for any position that's hard to fill at a person's company. I want you to use the skill you just created.

It asks me a few extra questions first, about pricing, proof, risk and speed. I tell it this is the final offer, just analyze it. Verdict: 2 out of 10. I am selling an input, two hours of sourcing, nothing else. No track record, no guarantee, and a time delay. Then it tells me how to improve all of it.

4. Know the limits of an AI mentor (4:39)

Use this to improve every part of your business where you know you could use extra help. It lets you apply frameworks from experts who have years and years of track record behind them.

But remember: this is still just imitation. At no point will the AI give you more value than the actual expert behind the content. It might get 85 to 90 percent of the way there, which is exactly why it is worth building.

5. Use YouTube transcripts as source material (6:08)

Now the second content type: video and audio. On YouTube, you can grab the transcript of any video. Go into the video description, click the Show Transcript section, and it appears on the right-hand side. Then copy it into Claude, and ask it to analyze the transcript and create skills out of it.

6. Automate extraction with Apify (6:55)

If you want this to be more automatic, connect your Claude account to Apify, which I covered in another video. Then Claude can pull transcripts directly:

Hey, can you please use the Apify scraper to get the transcript of this video?

You do not even need to pay Apify: the free $5 you get every month is more than enough for transcript extractions. One honest caveat: as you can see in the video, this sometimes takes more time than just going into YouTube and copy-pasting the thing yourself. It is not because you can use AI that you should use AI.

7. Build a second skill from the video (8:02)

The transcript we pulled is How to Craft a $100 Million Offer in Six Minutes, and it has a section on bonuses that the book skill did not cover. So instead of redoing the whole value equation, we build a narrower skill:

I would like you to create a skill that actually helps me ideate bonuses that I can use for any given offer that I create, please. The input will be an offer, and the output should be five ideas that I could include as a bonus.

Small note: I actually made a mistake in my prompt while recording and said "five ideas of skills" instead of outputs. It is fine. AI understands what you meant, and if you are really unsure, you can just go back and edit the prompt. It does not change much.

8. Review the generated bonus ideas (9:42)

Claude comes back with the new skill and a test run on a sample offer: a LinkedIn lead engine, a 2,000 euro eight-week program teaching solopreneurs to send automated LinkedIn outbound messages. It generated five bonus ideas, including a plug-and-play message vault, a done-with-you automation setup call, an account saved guarantee, and a booked call conversion cheat sheet.

That last one is the kind of bonus I like: booking meetings does not mean you convert those people into customers, so the bonus solves the next problem the buyer will have. I hit Save, and the skill is ready to reuse any time.

Tips

• The longer and denser the source material, the better the skill. Thin sources produce thin frameworks.
• Extract one narrow piece of a framework per skill, like bonuses only, instead of one giant do-everything skill.
• Do not expect the mentor to replace the expert. Treat 85 to 90 percent fidelity as the ceiling.
