Browse the GPT Store for ideas
From the ChatGPT homepage, open the GPT section and click Explore GPTs. Search a keyword from your field (I type "law") to see what already exists and how many conversations the top GPTs get. Public GPTs can link back to your business, so they can send traffic to you.

Start a new GPT and pick a model
Click Create at the top right. Ignore the fields for now: you will build it by chatting. Optionally choose the model it runs on. I suggest 4o for more creative output, and GPT-5.2 Auto is fine too.
Describe your assistant in plain language
In the Create tab, tell ChatGPT what you want, then paste your booking link and click Send. Building takes about 30 seconds to a minute; a wrench icon shows "Updating custom GPT" while it works.

Rename it and refine by chatting
Change the default name to your own (I rename it "Genial Assistant"). Review the four conversation starters it created and ask for the ones you want people to click. Approve or change the generated logo, and answer its tone question (I pick warm).
Fine-tune in Configure
Click Configure. Check that the instructions match what you said. Edit the conversation starters directly: add one, or delete any you do not like.
Upload your services document
Under Knowledge, upload the text document with your business information. This is what the GPT answers from.
Turn off capabilities and data sharing
Turn off every capability your visitors will not need. Leave Actions for later (they connect the GPT to other software). In Additional settings, turn off conversation data sharing with OpenAI if people may have private conversations.
Create and publish to the GPT Store
Click Create. Choose who can use it: only you, anyone with the link, or the GPT Store. Pick the GPT Store so anyone can find it, choose a category, and click Save.
Test it live
Open your GPT and click a conversation starter, such as asking what services your company offers. Check that it answers from your document and ends with your booking link.
