# Connect Zernio to Claude: setup checklist

Pricing as mentioned in the video (check current pricing before adding more): your first two connected accounts are free. Each extra account costs six dollars, and the price per account goes down as you add more. X is an exception: it requires a payment card because X API calls are billed.

## Part 1: Zernio

- [ ] Create your free Zernio account.
- [ ] Click **New connection** and connect the social accounts you want Claude to reach (for example YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn).
- [ ] Optional: look at the **Analytics** tab and the **unified inbox** to see what data Zernio already pulls.

## Part 2: Get the MCP link

- [ ] Open the Zernio documentation (https://docs.zernio.com/).
- [ ] Go to the **MCP** tab, then the MCP section. (Zernio also offers an API and a CLI for developers; you only need the MCP for Claude.)
- [ ] Skip the ready-made prompt on that page. You are doing the setup yourself in the Claude chat interface.
- [ ] Copy the Zernio MCP link from the paragraph in that section.

## Part 3: Add the connector in Claude

- [ ] In Claude, open **Customize**, then **Connectors**. (If the buttons have moved, use the search bar to find them.)
- [ ] Zernio is not in the connector directory, so click **Add** (top right).
- [ ] Name: `Zernio` (any name works).
- [ ] MCP server: paste the link you copied.
- [ ] Click **Continue**.
- [ ] Authentication: leave it on **None** (Claude detects this by default), scroll down, click **Add**.
- [ ] Click **Connect**, then **Continue Connecting**.
- [ ] Read the list of access you are granting (read posts, manage posts, read accounts, and so on), then click **Authorize**.
- [ ] Click **Open Claude** to go back.

## Part 4: Review tool permissions (do not skip)

The connector settings page lists every tool (platform details, account health, follower stats, creating posts and more). By default they ask for approval.

- [ ] Go through each tool and decide: **Always allow**, **Ask for approval**, or **Don't allow**.
- [ ] Pay special attention to **create a social media post**. If you do not want Claude publishing on its own, set it to **Ask for approval** or **Don't allow**.

## Part 5: Test it

- [ ] In a new chat, click the **+** symbol, open **Connectors**, and check that Zernio is listed and on.
- [ ] Paste the questions below one at a time.

## Good to know

- If Claude answers in another language, just ask it to reply in English.
- TikTok data can lag by several hours, so very recent posts may not show full numbers yet.
- You can swap which two accounts use your free slots (for example try YouTube, then switch to TikTok).
- Next step from the video: ask Claude to critique your posts. If you also give it the transcript of your content, it can comment on your hook and format.
