Claude Cowork Plugins Explained in 4 Minutes
By the end, you will have found the plugin marketplace in Claude Cowork, installed a plugin, started tailoring its skills to your company, and checked whether the apps you use most have a partner plugin.
O que você precisa
The Claude desktop app with access to the Cowork tab
A job you want help with first (for example marketing, sales or data)
A list of the SaaS apps your team uses most
Passo a passo
Open the Cowork tab
Open the Claude desktop application and select the Cowork tab. Plugins are managed from here, not from a regular chat.

Open the plugin marketplace
Click Customize, go into Personal plugins, click the plus symbol, then click Browse. This opens the marketplace, which lists official plugins from Anthropic and from other authorized vendors.
Open a plugin and read its example prompts
Click a plugin to see what it contains (I use Marketing). Start with the example prompts: these are the workflows packaged in the plugin, such as drafting an SEO blog post or planning a multi-channel campaign. They tell you which use cases the plugin covers.
Check the skills and connectors
Look at the other two parts of the plugin: - Skills: the reusable workflows Claude uses to handle those use cases. - Connectors: the apps the plugin connects to. For marketing, that means apps like Canva, Figma and HubSpot.
If the connectors match the apps you already use, the plugin is a good place to start.
Install the plugin
Click the plus symbol on the plugin. That is all it takes. Once it shows as installed, you can use every skill inside it (I install Enterprise Search). Go back to the Customization tab to check that it appears in your plugins.
Customize the skills for your company
Ask Claude Cowork to work with you on customizing the plugin's skills for your company. For example, if you do marketing for a specific sector, have it adapt the skills to that sector so the output fits your business.
Browse the partner plugins
Switch from the Anthropic plugins (sales, data, product management, legal) to the partner plugins. Other companies build these for their own apps: Wix to manage your Wix websites from Claude, Exa for AI search, Base44 to build SaaS apps, and Twilio for anything involving phones.
Check whether your main apps have a plugin
Take the app you use most and look it up in Plugins. Salesforce and Slack have one. Notion did not have one when the video was recorded. When your app has a plugin, install it so it works with Claude Cowork straight away.
Fique atento a
Plugins live in the Cowork tab of the desktop app. If you look for them in a regular chat, you won't find them.
Not every app has a plugin. Notion had none in the video, so check the marketplace before you plan around one.
An installed plugin is generic. Ask Claude Cowork to adapt its skills to your company and sector, or the results won't fit your business.
